NAPO plays a crucial role in supporting women and girls during incidents of social violence, abuse, domestic violence, and gender-based violence. Mahila Avaz provide safe shelters and medical care, offer psychological counseling and emotional support, and give legal assistance. Also engages in advocacy, collaboration, and networking, and implements prevention programs involving men and boys to change harmful attitudes and behaviors that contribute to violence against women and girls. By implementing these strategies, the project provides holistic support to women and girls facing violence, helping them heal, rebuild their lives, and live with dignity and security.
Project Vision:
The Mahila Avaz (Women’s Voice) project is dedicated to empowering women and their communities in all aspects of life. The project aims to provide social, legal, economic, ecological, and health empowerment to women. A core objective of this initiative is to eradicate gender-based violence and discrimination, with a particular focus on eliminating the practice of Chhaupadi, which severely impacts the lives of women and girls in the region.
